Michigan Man Wins $1 Million Lottery Prize on Third Try

(AsiaGameHub) –   For an Oakland County man, luck from his lottery playing did not strike immediately. The winner, a 48-year-old man, actually attempted his luck three times before finally landing an instant win ticket worth $1 million.

On the day of his win, the man bought three tickets at Main Street Convenience Inc, 402 S. Main St. in Ann Arbor. The first two tickets were not winners, but the third ticket proved to be the lucky one, adding to the gambler’s fallacy that the third time is often the charm.

Speaking to the Michigan Lottery while staying anonymous, the man stated, “I feel so blessed to win a prize like this. It is going to provide our family with financial security and will allow us to give our kids a better future.”

The man also decided to take the prize as a lump sum instead of an annuity. He will receive a $693,000 lump sum payout and plans to use the money wisely.

The man is creating college funds for his children, enabling them to succeed in life through their own hard work without the stress of college debt hanging over them.

Additionally, this is not the only recent win for a resident, as a woman from Genesee County also claimed a $1,000,000 prize. She won playing the Lucky Stars Instant Win game and also selected the $693,000 lump sum.

“I went out with a friend for Cinco de Mayo, and she suggested we stop to buy tickets, so we did,” she explained the story of her win to the Michigan Lottery.
