Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $57 Million Ahead of Monday Drawing

(AsiaGameHub) –   The Powerball jackpot has risen to $57 million after no one claimed the top prize in Saturday’s drawing. No Match 5 prizes were awarded this time either, despite a prior drawing where dozens of players secured seven-figure wins.

Three Powerball Players Won $100K Each

Last Saturday’s drawing was notably quiet compared to recent periods marked by multiple big winners. The $48 million jackpot went unclaimed and carried over into the next draw, increasing further.

For reference, the winning Powerball numbers from May 9 were 15, 41, 46, 47, and 56, along with the red Powerball 22. The Power Play multiplier applied was 2x.

Matching all five white balls and the Powerball would have resulted in a $48 million grand prize, or approximately $21.5 million if taken as a lump sum. Since no one did so and no Match 5 prizes were won, several players still managed to match four white numbers plus the Powerball, earning the game’s third-tier prize.

Six players matched that combination to win $50,000 each, while three others won $100,000 each thanks to the optional Power Play multiplier.

The jackpot is now at $57 million ahead of tonight’s drawing, with the cash value of the top prize currently set at $25.7 million.

Two Powerball Jackpots Were Won Recently

As noted, this lull comes after two consecutive jackpot wins in recent drawings. The first was particularly notable: not only was the $143 million prize split between two winners, but dozens also claimed Match 5 prizes.

At first glance, this seemed unusual—however, the explanation was straightforward. It turned out the winning numbers aligned with common player selections, specifically matching one of the number columns typically seen on Powerball tickets.

In the very next drawing, another jackpot was awarded when two players independently matched all winning numbers and split a $20 million prize.

To date in 2026, the Powerball jackpot has been won five times.
